St Clement's High School

Year 10 ASDAN MacMillan Donation

Students from Year 10 Asdan class presented a cheque for £100 to King’s Lynn Macmillan Information and Support Centre.

Alexis Mack, Information and Support Manager, came to the school to accept the cheque on behalf of Macmillan.  Alexis was impressed on discovering that the students put on their own Staff Christmas Party in December to raise money.  Donations and collections were made from a raffle, guess the weight of the cake and selling their homemade gift tags and much more.

This is event was part of their course ‘Challenge Asdan in the Community’ – to take part in an event for charity.

Alexis discussed the students approach to raising money and congratulated them on the work they put into the event.  The money raised will go towards helping cancer sufferers at the King’s Lynn Macmillan Information and Support Centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
