Our Year 11 students hosted a Coffee Morning with a Charlie and the Chocolate factory theme hoping to raise some money for Macmillan.
The year 11 students are working towards their GCSE in Hospitality and Catering. The coursework requires them to research, plan, carry out and evaluate an event. All of the food was prepared by the students and they all had roles during the service. We invited guests from the local Women's Institute, the Rotary Club and Wingland foods. We also invited the Academy Trustees. They managed to raise £100.76 - a fantastic event. Thanks to all that came to enjoy the goodies on offer.
